Hogwarts: The Loyalty of Brothers
I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so I was already extremely familiar with the content and with the title having the words Hogwarts in the name it was obvious what the storybook was going to entail. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this storybook's introduction, especially how the author brought in the four houses to bring in what that the story was going to be about. I also liked how the author linked a quiz so the reader could find out which Hogwarts house and corresponding storybook house they would be in. The design is also very eye-catching, it is very fitting for the theme that Hogwarts and Harry Potter have with the darker colors and white font. All the images were very fitting for each of the tabs and the navigation was very easy. From this storybook, I would like to use the same font that they used and make sure that my blog resembles the theme of the project I am righting about.
Gossip Girl Ayodhya
Similarly with the storybook with a Harry Potter, I am very familiar with the television show Gossip Girl and with that being said the author did a very good job portraying Gossip Girl. The introduction really gripped me and intrigued me into what the rest of the storybook was going to be about. I had to read more posts because the introduction was so well written. I also really enjoyed the design and the images the author used. The site was very seamless and easy to navigate. This storybook used a lot more pictures than the Hogwarts and I thought it made the storybook a lot more pleasing to look at, it also gave the project more of the gossip girl feel to it as well.
How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is another show I am familiar with and grew up watching as it airs. This design is my least favorite because it was not as eye-catching or pleasing to look at. I didn't like how the tabs were on the side of the site rather than on top. The whole introduction was the opposite, it was extremely interesting and intriguing that made me want to keep reading the story. The writing was very similar to that of the style of the actual television show, which I think it very important when you are making a storybook over a television show so the reader gets the sense that it is actually the show.
One image that really captured my attention was the Hogwarts classroom!

Classroom at Hogwarts Web Source
This is great, Chelsee! As you can imagine, for a lot of people in this class, the topics are totally new, and one way they build a connection to the topic is by using a familiar storytelling setting inspired by movies or TV, just like in the three projects you looked at here! And you've noticed a big change that happened at Google Sites just last semester: Google released a completely new version of its Google Sites software, and so last semester was the first time people in this class used it. The Hogwarts and Gossip Girl projects were both done with the new system, while the HIMYM project is with the old Google Sites. Based on your comments here, I think you are going to like the new Google Sites! :-)
