I have always valued sleep. I've never been the kind of person who pulled all-nighters because I knew how important sleep was to me physically, mentally, and emotionally. Knowing how important sleep is already I thought it would be interesting to learn even more. Even though I knew how important sleep already was I couldn't believe how much of an impact sleep can really have - if you don't sleep you don't process and store what you're trying to learn, especially with language acquisition skills. I'm definitely going to try some of the sleep tactics they suggested in the article and seeing how else sleep can benefit me if I stop looking at screens about an hour before bed.

Hey again Chelsee!
ReplyDeleteFunny enough, I also did an extra credit assignment on this topic. I definitely had already heard that getting enough sleep is probably better than staying up to study. Sometimes it is definitely easier said than done though! Sometimes you feel like you aren’t comfortable going to sleep until you have learned as much as you can. It is crazy how that can backfire.
