Reading Notes Week 9 - Retelling Mahabharata, Part A

I like how there is a challenge for suiters to win the hand in marriage and that could be interesting to look into. Instead of having all five of the Pandavas brother's marry Drupada's daughter, I would only have Arjuna marry her since he is the one who won the contest. The part where Arjuna marries a sea nymph is cool and I like that he has to defeat an alligator which free's them from their cursed form. I could retell this part but have the sisters be something other than an alligator or maybe have them be mermaids instead of sea nymphs. I really liked this version of the Mahabharata more than the original.

Growth Mindset: Cats

Using the randomizer I found a couple of cats that I really liked either because they were cute, funny, relatable, or all of the above! The first one was adorable and very accurate. I've found the more I write the better I get at it, especially when it comes to my personal statements. The second meme made me laugh. I've always been a goal setter and while it can be sad to miss your goal it's good to even get close to reaching it because there is always next time! Cat Meme 1 Cat Meme 2

Growth Mindset Cats Edition!

I haven't done a growth mindset all semester so I figured I should go ahead and do one :) Here are my three favorite cat memes from Pinterest! The reason I like the first on is because I definitely relate to the study hard and then take a break. I do it all the time and seeing a cute kitten napping is just adorable. The second one really spoke to me about getting my homework and grad school applications done in a timely manner. It's been difficult balancing everything and still having a life. (I go out of town almost every week so I have to finish everything by Thursday, typically.)  However, I think I've done a good job at making sure when I'm working I'm actually working and being effective. The last one relates back to my grad applications. I've had multiple revisions on my personal statement, but it's been good for me to receive feedback so that I can make my statement the best it can be. Meme 1 Meme 2 Meme 3
